It is designed to be amulti­avenue outreach, to provide education and support, promotegood health, and establish a sense of community for adultmen.Blood Sisterhood is a peer network of women who support women withbleeding disorders on their life's journey through diagnosis,treatment and day to day living. Ultimately, through furthering theconversation among women, we seek better health outcomes and abetter quality of life for women with bleeding disorders.FitFactor is a national health and wellness program that providespeople helpful information about how to stay active and healthywhile living with a bleeding disorder. The program's goal is tomotivate men and adolescents to engage in regular moderate physicalactivity and to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle throughproper nutrition.Dads in Action is a national program committed to creating anetwork of men in the bleeding disorders community who educate,support, and challenge each other as they strive to be proactiveand responsible role models for their children and families.Several HFA Member Organizations hold local Dads in Actionprograms.Moms in Action is a peer network of women who understand thechallenges of being a mother of a child with a bleeding disorder.The challenges of tending to family members' physical, intellectualand emotional needs while juggling doctor's appointments, infusionschedules and unexpected bleeding episodes can be draining anddifficult. By providing tools that help you gain knowledge aboutbleeding disorders, develop positive parenting solutions, and adopthealthy behaviors, HFA is committed to helping moms feel confidentin their ability to make educated decisions and feel ongoingsupport from the community and our organization.
